I'm Fed Up! Why Aren't You? Part III

I'm not going to waste time talking about the so-called Squad.  You can imagine what I think about them.  A bunch of Leftists/socialists/communists and antisemitic Jew haters.  I think that covers it.  

But I do want to finish my rant with the Mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani.  I've discussed this Islamist sympathizer multiple times in the blog.  He won't condemn "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."  Even though that means no Israel.  Because he won't accept Israel as the one Jewish state in the world.  He won't even condemn "globalize the intifada."  Shame on anyone who makes excuses for that, as the two intifadas were nothing other than the murders of Jewish civilians in Israel on buses, in cafes, at malls and even at a Passover Seder.  So, you know what I think of this piece of garbage, Mamdani.  

Anyway, a main campaign platform of his was that he would arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he dared to step foot within New York City.  He has repeatedly said he would have Netanyahu arrested after becoming Mayor.  Now, he knew he had no authority to do that.  First, he's just the Mayor of a city.  It may be our biggest city, but it's a city.  You're a Mayor.  That's it.  Not to mention that the United States wisely never signed onto the treaty establishing the International Criminal Court.

Mamdani never stopped calling Netanyahu a "war criminal."  And he accused Netanyahu of being the "architect of a horrific genocide."  He doesn't seem to care much about what happened to the Jewish people on October 7, 2023.  Only the worst attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust.  And Hamas saying they want to carry out an October 7 type of attack over and over again in order to kill all the Jewish people does not, in my opinion, bother him.

Netanyahu will likely be traveling to NYC in September for the annual meeting of the UN General Assembly.  Now, all of a sudden, after doing much consulting with law enforcement and legal counsel, Mamdani says he does not actually have any authority to arrest Netanyahu.  As younger people would say:  Duh!  Then what was this whole campaign to arrest Netanyahu really all about?  I would bet that he knew all along that he had no authority to arrest a foreign head of state.  Even while he was promising to do so during his campaign for Mayor.

Here's what I think.  As the Mayor of the city with the largest Jewish population in the world of any city outside of Israel, I believe he was trying to gin up hatred of Jews.  We know he has no problem with intifadas.  We know he has spent his time in office doing his best to make life more difficult for the Jews of New York City.  And we've seen it in the way Jews have been harassed and assaulted under his watch.  And I'm really sick of his phony smile.  If anyone thinks he is sincere, shame on you.

For those of you, Jews and non-Jews, who still don't get my concern with the growing antisemitism and Jew hatred, I'll end with this quote from an article in the Algemeiner:  "Violence against Jews rarely begins with calls to murder to Jews.  It begins with arguments explaining why this specific hatred is understandable...Every expulsion, pogrom, massacre, and genocide in history targeting Jews started with an intellectual class constructing exceptions for Jews...The hatred stops being hatred as hatred and starts being treated as understandable.  Understandable soon becomes justifiable.  And, from there, the violence:  inevitable."

For all those I just ranted on, do me a favor.  Do yourself a favor.  Wake up!    

I'm Fed Up! Why Aren't You? Part II

Of course there are other people with whom I am fed up.  Let's take a look at some.  James Fishback is a Republican candidate for governor in Florida.  As the Jew hatred has spread across party lines, it is no surprise that he opposes aid to Israel.  Here's what else he has to say:  "If you want kids to fail, if you wanted to set our kids up for failure, you would feed them the absolute goyslop in our cafeterias."  "Goy" is a Yiddish term for a non-Jew.  So, Fishback seems to be suggesting that, among other things Jews are said to control, we also control the food supply.  And we intentionally want non-Jews to fail because...who knows why.  But no surprise, inasmuch as the "groypers," the followers of racist, antisemite Nick Fuentes, support this guy Fishback.  Here's what I think of you, Fishback...(readers will have to use your imagination for that, as I do not use curse words in the blog).  

How about the Governor of California.  Gavin Newsom should be embarrassed for what has happened to California under his watch.  But that's another story.  Like many of the prospective 2028 Democrat candidates for President, he has said that he will not accept money from AIPAC.  Wow!  Such a brave statement coming from a Democrat these days.  But, he joins many other Democrats who say that.  Instead of standing for our ally, Israel, instead of being a true leader and telling your base that Israel is one of our best allies in the world and deserves our full support, what do you say?  You say that consideration needs to be given to cutting aid to Israel.  You accuse Israel of being an apartheid state.  I don't care that you subsequently took back the apartheid comment.  You know you said that just to show the base that you are with them.  I am sure my readers can imagine what I think of Newsom.  

I think it goes without saying that I am fed up with all the Democrat Senators and Congress members who voted against continuing aid to Israel.  So brave to bow to your antisemitic base.  Then we have the other potential Democrat candidates for President in 2028 who use AIPAC as their boogeyman to show how much they are distancing themselves from Israel.  NJ Senator Cory Booker, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin, and big disappointment - Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.  The biggest (you fill in the blank) may be former Congressman and former Chicago Mayor and former Obama Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel.   

Emanuel has basically said that Israel somehow tricked President Trump into going to war with Iran.  I don't see Trump as doing anything that he doesn't want to do.  Emanuel says the era of the US's "rubber stamp" of approving aid to Israel is over.  Rubber stamp?  Liar.  Just going to ignore the pressure brought to bear on Israel by Eisenhower, Ford, Reagan and George H.W. Bush?  No rubber stamp.  Do you love Nancy Pelosi?  Why?  She voted in favor of the Massie Amendment cutting all military aid to Israel.  Then she made this incredulous comment:  "The American people are rightfully demanding an end to a perpetual cycle of war, and the Netanyahu government cannot maintain its current course."   Got it.  Blame Israel for having to fight for its very existence in war after war after war for its entire 78 years in existence.  Because the Arab countries and the Iranian proxies of Hamas and Hezbollah all decided long ago that having a productive state for their people is less important than killing all the Jews.  Let's raise a finger for Pelosi.   

Okay, I was never a fan of JD Vance.  He was definitely not my choice for VP.  His approach to foreign affairs seemed to be contrary to Trump's.  Recently, Vance was on Joe Rogan's podcast.  No surprise, Vance blamed Israel for blowing up his peace deal (the MOU) with Iran.  Sure, Tucker Carlson is your buddy, and he blames Israel for everything.  Except, as the President said, Iran blew up the deal by firing on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.  After which Trump referred to the Iranian leaders as liars and scum and sick people.  Vance also asserted that Israel wanted "to keep the war going on indefinitely."  I'm trying to hold back from saying what I really think of that.  Again, Israel has been fighting non-stop wars since the founding of the country in 1948.  Everyone serves in the military in Israel.  You think the people aren't tired of non-stop wars?  Then at least do what President Trump has done - threaten Iran and their proxies and follow it up with action.  Stop blaming our ally Israel! 

Vance also referred to the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah as a "chicken and egg problem."  Are you nuts, Vance?  Do you have any idea how many rockets and missiles Hezbollah has fired into Israel?  Do you even know that Hezbollah killed 241 of our troops at the Beirut Barracks in 1983?  Plus those killed in the 1983 embassy bombing in Beirut.  Learn something!  And stop being friends with Carlson.  I hope you are not the Republican nominee for President in 2028.   

Who else do I want to rant about?  How about American Muslims?  (Don't start accusing me of racism.  I have friends who are Muslim.  And I've already picked on my fellow Jews, so why shouldn't Muslims also be fair game?)  Based on a Reuters poll from May of this year, 44% of American Muslims have a favorable view of Hamas.  Are you kidding me?  What's wrong with you?  Go live in Gaza if that's what you think.  Why don't you think Hamas should have used the billions of dollars in aid they received to build a productive society for their people, instead of hundreds of miles of tunnels built underground so they could sneak into Israel and kill Jews.  You must be so proud of yourselves supporting a terrorist organization that celebrates the rape, torture and murder of civilians.  What's the matter with you?

I'm Fed Up! Why Aren't You? Part I

Every once in a while I feel like I'm fed up.  And I need to let it out.  Fed up with who?  Lots of people.  I'll start with my fellow Jews.  An AP-NORC poll conducted last month found that 45% of secular Jews feel no connection to Israel.  What's the matter with you people?  Did you not learn any of the history of our people?  Do I need to start with the Babylonians?  The Romans?  The murders, the persecutions, the exiles?  Do you not know any of it?  How about the expulsion of the Jews from England in 1290?  Or from Spain in 1492?  Not even the Russian pogroms in the late nineteenth century into the early twentieth century?  At least the Holocaust?  And you think nothing bad can happen to you because you live in (fill in the blank)?  Or because you are a secular Jew?  It's time to wake up!  Start defending Israel and your fellow Jews now!

Then we have the leftwing Jews.  You know, they hate AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee), because AIPAC actually supports candidates for Congress who will (hopefully) support Israel.  They hate AIPAC because their cherished leftwing candidates hate Israel.  And they are Leftists before they are Jewish.  Well, wake up!  Did you not see that Hamas slaughtered 1200 Jews and kidnapped another 250, on October 7, 2023, in the worst attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust?  And did you fail to see that all the leftwing groups and causes that you supported didn't give a damn about the slaughter of your fellow Jews.  In fact, they turned on the Jewish people.  What is your problem?  You have a death wish?  You hate Trump so much that's all you can talk about?  You refuse to acknowledge all the good he's done for Israel and the Jewish people?  Fine.  But why does your hatred of Trump blind you to the ever increasing Jew hatred going on all around you?  Wake up!

While I'm getting my fellow Jews mad at me, I don't want to forget the ones who say they are too old, or retired, or too busy playing golf and spending time with their families.  Or, it's too stressful to deal with it.  No, you're not too busy.  And too bad if it's stressful.  Living through another Holocaust would be more stressful.  And you're not too old.  When the Rebbe (Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, arguably the most influential Rabbi of the twentieth century) was told by some advisers that he should retire upon reaching 70 years old, he refused.  He said not only would he not retire, he would dedicate himself to opening 70 new Chabad centers in honor of his 70th birthday.  Regardless of how busy you are with (fill in the blank), don't tell me that you don't have the time to stand up for Israel and the Jewish people.  If not for yourself, then for your children and grandchildren.  Wake up!  

Who else can I pick on?  Notice how the Left wing Jew haters and the Right wing Jew haters have that in common?  We know the Leftists in Congress who hate Israel.  Now, Right wing candidates are joining them.  Not to mention much of the mainstream media and Left wing pundits and Right wing pundits.  Isn't that nice how they can all coalesce around one issue - "We hate the Jews."  Of course, most of them deny being antisemitic.  We're not antisemitic, we just have a problem with Israel.  Or Gaza.  Or with Zionism.  And, of course, what about the genocide, apartheid and colonialism?  Who actually falls for any of that nonsense?  If you agree with any of that, you are antisemitic at best, and a Jew hater at worst.

Apartheid?  Then how is it that Arabs are in every sector of Israeli society?  Not just lawyers and doctors and in the universities.  But on the Courts and in the legislature (the Knesset).  Genocide?  Those claiming genocide mostly mean that not enough Jews died compared to Palestinians.  They mean that (some anyway) Israel has the right to defend itself, but not actually fight back.  I already explained in a prior post that the Palestinian population has grown, not decreased.  But what about starving the Gaza population?  You mean ignore the hundreds of tons of food and medical supplies that Israel has allowed into Gaza?  Who else does that?  Who else takes such good care of an enemy they are fighting while in the middle of a war with them?  

And, you can always ignore the fact that Hamas takes the food and supplies for their fighters.  Because if you were honest about it, you would acknowledge that Hamas does not give a damn about the people of Gaza.  If you were honest about it, you would admit that Hamas has used all the billions of dollars in aid to buy weapons and to build tunnels into Israel.  All for the sole purpose of killing Jews.  They even admit it.  They don't try to build a productive society for the people they rule over.  They start war after war, knowing full well that thousands of Gazans will die.  But some of you want to blame Israel for having the nerve to fight back.  Wake up!

But doesn't Israel starve the people?  No, they don't.  Here's a statement from the UN:  "Humanitarian workers were forced to halt food distribution after armed personnel affiliated with the de facto authorities (that would be Hamas) forcibly entered the Abu Rashid food distribution point in Jabalia, North Gaza."  And:  "These incidents are not isolated.  They are completely unacceptable and reflect an increasingly dangerous pattern of intimidation, violence and obstruction."  What about colonialism?  Jews are the colonizers of the land they have been kicked out of time after time?  Really?   

How does anyone in their right mind support a terrorist organization that brutally rapes, tortures and murders civilians?  And then blame the victims.  What is the matter with you people who do that?  I've got others to complain about.  See Part II.    

How Do We Know When It's Time?

(I hope that all my readers, whether Jewish or non-Jewish, read this post.  Because it is not just about Jews in America.  It is about America.)

I know that I am not alone among my fellow Jews in asking this question:  why didn't more German Jews and other European Jews, leave in the 1930's?  Did they not see the handwriting on the wall?  Were there not enough signs?  Of course, this is not meant in any way to blame the Jews of Europe for all the atrocities committed by the Nazis during the Holocaust.  But, could more have left and survived?  

Now, I'm seeing the same question being raised about the Jews in America.  Of course, today's European Jews have been asking that question for some time.  And an ever increasing number have been leaving their homes in Europe and moving to Israel.  But what about America?  No, contrary to the assertions by many on the Left, we do not have a Nazi in the White House.  But are there any events that should give us pause, and cause us to ask:  "Is it time?"  Is it time to leave this country that has given so much to the Jewish people?

We know about all the Leftists and Islamists who are already serving in Congress.  Israel haters and Jew haters and America haters.  We know about the Leftists and Islamists and apparent Jew haters who have been winning primaries across the country.  Most of us likely recall the firebombing of the Pennsylvania Governor's mansion on April 13, 2025, while Governor Josh Shapiro (Dem. and strong supporter of Israel)  and his family were inside the residence.

But is everyone aware of all the other violent, and potentially violent, threats against those who support Israel.  I shouldn't have to say this, but it's where we are as country now.  People are entitled to their own opinions.  They are allowed to disagree with you.  In America, differences are supposed to be resolved by debate and by votes.  Let's take a look at some other threats to the American way of life.

In May of this year, Representative Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) said threatening messages had been left on his voice mail, threatening himself and his family.  In June, Representative Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) said he was advised by the FBI that it broke up "a potentially large scale attack on pro-Israel members of Congress."  (As reported in the Algemeiner, an online Jewish magazine.)  Both Moskowitz and Gottheimer are strong supporters of Israel.  Potentially large scale attack?  How large?

Most recently, Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY), who is no fan of Israel, proposed a resolution that would end all aid to Israel.  All the House Republicans, except Massie, opposed the resolution.  But nearly one-half of the Democratic members of the House (103 out of 212) voted in favor of the resolution.  10 members voted "present."  This vote comes on the heels of the Senate resolution seeking to cut various types of aid to Israel, with 40 of the 45 Senate Democrats voting in the affirmative.  2 Independents who caucus with the Democrats, also voted in the affirmative.  With the Republicans opposed, the Senate measure failed.  As to the House resolution, because the Republicans all voted against the resolution (except for Massie), it failed to pass, 104 to 314.

Representative Adam Smith (D-WA) is not Jewish.  He had announced that he was not inclined to vote in favor of Massie's resolution cutting all aid to Israel.  But Smith reported that he and his family "were subjected to an unrelenting campaign of intimidation by anti-Israel activists," including "vandalism, arson, and an assault on a staffer."  (As reported by the Algemeiner.)  Congressman Smith ended up voting for the Massie resolution.  Did the threat have anything to do with him changing his mind?  It was more than threats.  His home was vandalized, a fire was set in his driveway, some of his town hall meetings were shut down.  And, again, a staff member was physically assaulted.  Is this how anyone wants to see America being run?  By threats and intimidation and violence?  

Of course, threatening a member of Congress in order to change their vote is a violation of Federal law.  (18 USC 115.)  But the threats and intimidation and violence are not limited to Congress, which is bad enough.  The United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, has indicted 8 people on charges of conspiracy to threaten University of Michigan leaders, law enforcement officers, businesses, and the Jewish Federation of Detroit.  4 of those indicted have Muslim sounding names.  It was unclear if they, or the 4 others, were Muslims.  

However, their motivation was apparent.  They were demanding a "full and complete divestment" from Israel and any business that supports Israel.  The indictment alleges that the co-conspirators discussed how to "torment," "terrorize," and even "kill" their intended targets.  (A reminder.  An indictment is a charge.  It is neither an admission of guilt nor a finding of guilt.)  The indictment further alleges that the co-conspirators "damaged and defaced homes and businesses with spray painted messages, threats, and symbols" targeting people for death.  The graffiti included "Divest Now," "Fuck You," and "Fuck the IDF" (the Israeli Defense Forces).  

(Is it time for all Jews to update their passports - just in case.  It appears to be past time for all Jews to arm themselves.  In my next post, I want to discuss further the seeming alliance of the far Left and the far Right in their Jew hatred, as more and more run for office, and are often winning.  And, I want to discuss the seeming alliance of our Vice President with the right-wing Israel hater Tucker Carlson.  And we need to consider when anti-Jewish talk leads to assaults on Jews and even the killing of Jews.  Because we have already seen the too frequent killing of Jews in America and around the world.  Lastly, I want to discuss the analysis given by our Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, who is well aware of the dangers of this Jew hatred.)
