Recently, I had lunch with a good friend who reads my blog. He noticed a trend in the blog - that I have become more strident in my posts. My reply was "guilty as charged." If you look up "strident" on Google, AI will tell you that it means expressing opinions in a forceful way (guilty), aggressive way (guilty again), and annoying way (I leave that up to my readers). I replied to my friend - why wouldn't I be more strident? Between the ever increasing Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), as well as the Israel hatred and Jew hatred, well...just when might being strident become the preferred way to be? I understand that gentle suasion might be preferable. But what do we do when that doesn't work?
You think TDS is not out of control? If you haven't yet read my 9/4/26 post ("I Almost Don't Know What To Say"), please read it. A September poll by the leftwing Center for Strategic Politics (and Liberal Currents), asked about the ways Trump might be removed from office. The poll was of Democrats, with a 3.75 MOE. 87% favor Trump's impeachment and subsequent conviction by the Senate. 84% favor using the 25th Amendement to get him out of office. And a shocking 59% (with 43% very positive and 16 somewhat positive) favor a military takeover.
I thought that the Dems were all about democracy. Look at the crop of candidates Dem leaders are supporting for the House and the Senate - it's all about getting power. 55% favor Trump dying in his sleep. And somewhere between 23% and 32% favor his assassination.
Remember Hasan Piker? Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed appeared to be best buddies with Piker. Until it was no longer politically expedient. But he will not completely disavow Piker, who freely admits to hating America. Here's another gem from Piker, from his podcast: "This connection between Israel and Zionism that is expressed over and over again through a lot of these Jewish institutions, okay, is teaching people the idea that Jews are monolithic and this is a dangerous, it is a very, cause look, it is a very dangerous mode of propaganda and you want to know why - because people don't fuck with Israel any longer, and if Jews in America keep putting this idea out there that they are singularly invested in Israel, eventually someone is gonna come around and take action, not against the State of Israel mind you but against American Jews."
Listen up you Jew hater. Zion is part and parcel of Judaism. It is in our Bible. It is Jerusalem. It is Israel. Jews of all political persausions, and all levels of observance, identify with Zionism - the land of Israel. (Yes, there are those Jews who do not, which is increasingly disturbing to me.) The point is, it is NOT propaganda. It is as important to Judaism as Mecca and Medina are to Islam. Every Jew who believes in Israel is a Zionist. But there you are, Piker, always ready to blame the Jews if they become victims of some evil idiot's actions.
Then again, your buddy El-Sayed is guilty of the same thinking. After all, back in March, when another Jew hater rammed his truck into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township in Michigan, El-Sayed tried to justify it. The perpetrator had lost family members in Lebanon during an Israeli airstrike. He used that as justification to attempt to murder American Jews here in the USA. And El-Sayed then agreed, when he said that "hurt people hurt people." El-Sayed then had to take back his comment, which, in my opinion was done soley for political expediency. But do hurt people hurt people? In other words, do people tend to seek revenge when something bad happens to them? No doubt a few do. But most people do not. Most people do not take the law into their own hands. So shame on El-Sayed for suggesting that, and seeming to justify the attack on innocent American Jews.
I could go on and on, with news story after news story (which I will do) about the Left, the Islamist sympathizers, and the leftwing Jews. All of which have increasingly caused me to become more strident in my posts. But unlike Piker, El-Sayed and the Michigan truck driver, I won't use my frustration as an excuse to cause harm to others. But leftwing ideology is impervious to facts, logic and reason. I'll end this post with this comment. A fellow attorney, also Jewish, and very leftwing, with a huge case of TDS, constantly sends me anti-Trump articles to my email. I told him long ago that I blocked him. So all his emails go to my spam folder and then I delete them.
My guess is, he believes that because he sees all these anti-Trump articles in his news feed, that there is nothing good that Trump has done. But that is how social media works. If you search out anti-Trump articles, or read all the anti-Trump articles you see, then they will keep sending you more and more anti-Trump articles. I'll never forget that a few years ago my wife and I went looking at furniture. Immediately I had one furniture store ad after the next on my cell phone. This attorney claims to support Israel. Yet, he hasn't sent me one article or Op-Ed in support of Israel. His sole focus is on Ttrump, as he appears to be unaware of the rise in Israel hatred and Jew hatred worldwide. If I were to email him back, you bet that I'd be strident. And maybe even throw in a few gratuitous choice words.
