Want To Run As A Democrat? Prove You Hate Israel. Part III

It's a sure sign that Democrats hate Israel when they refuse to take money from AIPAC (The American-Israel Public Affairs Committee).  AIPAC actually donates to campaigns of candidates from both parties, as long as that candidate supports Israel.  But now, the Left and the Islamists running for office say that Israel commits genocide, and is an apartheid state, and a colonial state.  All lies.  Doesn't matter.  Democratic candidates cannot run away from AIPAC fast enough.

Here are a bunch of possible presidential candidates who felt the need to publicly announce they refuse to take money from AIPAC.  That is the way to virtue signal to the Democratic base, which now opposes Israel.  Gavin Newsom, Governor of California; Josh Shapiro, Governor of Pennsylvania; Andy Beshear, Governor of Kentucky; JB Pritzker, Governor of Illinois; Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Representative from New York; Cory Booker, Senator from New Jersey; Ruben Gallego, Senator from Arizona; Elissa Slotkin, Senator from Michigan; Rahm Emanuel, former Representaive from Illinois and former Chicago Mayor and former Obama Chief of Staff; Seth Moulton, Representative from Massachusetts.  All let us know they won't take AIPAC money.

Then of course we have Zohran Mamdani, Mayor of New York City; Graham Platner, former Senate candidate from Maine; Abdul El-Sayed, Senate candidate from Michigan;  Aisha Wahab, Representative from California; Darializa Avila Chevalier, candidate for Representative from New York; Claire Valdez, candidate for Representative from New York; Penny Flanagan, candidate for Senate from Minnesota.  I could go on, but you probably get the picture.  Democratic candidates from all over the country announced their refusal to take money from AIPAC.  Given that the mere name "AIPAC," and any affiliation with them, is now seen as an impediment to winning Democratic primaries, and losing support in the general election, we see the public virtue signaling by these Democratic candidates.

AIPAC is not an Israeli organization.  It was started by Americans to support Israel.  But, in terms of foreign donations for lobbying for the last ten years (2016 to 2025), China leads the list with over $562 million dollars.  Where do the Middle Eastern countries fall?  4th is Saudi Arabia with over $421 million dollars.  8th is the UAE with over $269 million dollars.  9th is Qatar with also over $269 million dollars.  Rounding out the top ten is Israel, with over $214 million dollars.

However, in terms of foreign influence, the above numbers are pennies.  According to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Qatar alone has given $6 billion to $8 billion (that's Billion) dollars to US universities.  Not to mention the tens of millions to think tanks, and the billions spent in various sectors of our society.  Compare all that money to the $50 million dollars to $100 million dollars spent by AIPAC.

Here is an unrelated, but very important story, from the Media Research Center (MRC).  When you get an iphone, Apple News is already installed.  MRC did an analysis of the top 20 stories from September 15 through September 30.  Not one single story had a positive take on Republican priorities, but there were 84 negative headlines.  That very much reminded me of when Trump was running (not sure which time) and just before the election, the Sunday New York Times Opinion section had 10 or 12 pages of Op-Eds.  Every single one was anti-Trump.  Somehow, the "paper of record" (their claim) could not locate one single conservative commentator to write a pro-Trump Op-Ed.

"All the news that's fit to print" (their logo) has more often than not been "All the news that fits our agenda."  However, as I believe in giving credit where credit is due, it was the Times that broke the story about the Democrats seeming to collude to find another person named Dan Sullivan to run for Senate in Alaska against the incumbent Republican Dan Sullivan, while Mary Peltola is the Democratic candidate.  The idea was to draw votes away from the Republican incumbent by hoping the public would be confused and vote for this other "shill" Dan Sullivan, and help Mary Peltola win.  As they say, politics is dirty business - and Democrats excel at it.
